Got yelled at by a stranger for leaving my table like this. Is it actually my responsibility to clean up at a fast food chain?
Honest question: When you go to a place like McDonald’s or KFC, do you clear your own tray?
We just had the worst experience. We finished eating and left the table messy (obviously, we ate there), and some random old man started verbally attacking us for not throwing the trash away. We defended ourselves—because we are paying customers, not employees—and the staff actually kicked us out for the noise.
I feel like the world is backwards. I pay for the service. Why am I the bad guy for expecting the staff to wipe down the table and clear the trays? That is their job description. Make it make sense.
