I’ve been seeing this girl for a few months and she always had it together when she came over. Clean, put together, acted like she had her life straight. So I figured okay, she’s solid.
Then I finally go back to her place.
I walk in and it looks like this. Trash everywhere, old food, bottles all over the floor, mattress on the ground, walls stained… like nobody’s cleaned anything in weeks. She just sits there on the bed like it’s completely normal, watching TV like I’m not standing there trying to process what I’m looking at.
And then it clicks. This is why every time she stayed at my place it would end up trashed. This isn’t a one-off, this is just how she lives.
I don’t care how you present yourself outside, if this is what’s behind it, that says everything. I turned around and left right there. I’m not about to deal with someone who lives like this and acts like it’s fine.
