Let me break this down for some of you. Servers make about $2.83 an hour and depend on tips to actually pay their bills and support their families. After an eight-hour shift, that’s barely anything before tips are even counted.
So if you’re not prepared to tip properly at least 30% maybe reconsider eating out.
Leaving $2 on a $100.03 tab isn’t generous, it’s embarrassing. If you can’t respect the work, save your money and eat at home instead of shorting the people
who are serving you.
