I ordered a big grocery delivery and even left a note asking for the bags to be stacked neatly by the door since there were a lot of items. I figured that was a pretty basic request.

When I opened the door, it looked like everything had just been dumped. Bags everywhere, boxes tipped over, bananas rolling down the steps, and milk leaking. Bread and cereal were crushed under heavier bags like no thought went into it.

I was planning to leave a good tip because it was a big order, but the second I saw the mess, that changed. If you treat someone’s porch like a dumping ground, don’t expect extra money for it.
